Dominion is a feature-length Australian documentary directed by Chris Delforce and co-produced by Shaun Monson, the director of Earthlings. Using drone, hidden-camera, and handheld footage, the film documents how animals are exploited and abused across Australia, revealing rarely seen scenes from slaughterhouses, farms, and other industries.
Through six aspects of human–animal relationships—companion animals, wildlife, scientific research, entertainment, clothing, and food—Dominion examines the many ways animals are used by humans. Rather than focusing solely on individual acts of cruelty, it challenges the morality and legitimacy of humanity's dominion over other animals and ultimately leaves viewers with a profound question: How should humans coexist with other sentient beings?
